PCB Designer - San Diego

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background designing printed circuit boards per engineering requirements. Experience with high-speed digital designs, RF circuits, power supplies, analog circuits, and flex circuits preferred. The candidate must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and be able to identify and solve problems independently.

 

Responsibilities:

On a day to day basis, the PCB designer will be responsible for working with an R & D team and focusing on PCB layout design. Working from provided schematics or netlists and mechanical input, the Designer will provide state of the art PCB Layouts incorporating the latest fabrication and assembly standards. The Designer will perform schematic capture entry, develop component libraries including symbols and PCB footprints as needed; route and lay out PCB's and develop full documentation packages as required per work instructions and project specifications. A minimum of 3 years of experience designing dense multi layered PCB's using Altium Designer CAD Software is required, with 5 years of experience preferred.

 

Additional Requirements

  • General understanding of electronic circuits and chip functionality
  • Able to read schematics and understand all aspects of the design process
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with board assembly processes
  • Working knowledge of BOMs and ECOs
  • Work effectively and professionally with others
  • Adhere to ISO work instructions and other company policies
  • Possess functional knowledge of IPC guidelines
  • Effectively use Microsoft and Office tools
  • Other related tasks and activities as required

Skills/Experience:

  • HS Diploma required
  • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience.
